to offer prayers thrice daily, as prescribed in the Vedas. Young men are,
initiated by their Gurus, to chant the mantras , at

“Thread ceremonies”, These are
the ‘Sandhya Vandana’ offered at dusk
and dawn, and Madhyanhika offered at noon.
