नेहरु, इंदिरा, राजीव
जम्मू-कश्मीर में आए महीनों हो गए थे, एक बात अक्सर दिमाग में खटकती थी कि अभी तक नेहरू के खानदान का कोई क्यों नहीं मिला, जबकि हमने किताबों में पढ़ा था कि वह कश्मीरी पंडित थे। नाते-रिश्तेदार से लेकर दूरदराज तक में से कोई न कोई नेहरू खानदान का तो मिलना ही चाहिए था। नेहरू राजवंश कि खोज में सियासत के पुराने खिलाडिय़ों से मिला लेकिन जानकारी के नाम पर मोतीलाल नेहरू के पिता गंगाधर नेहरू का नाम ही सामने आया। अमर उजाला दफ्तर के नजदीक बहती तवी के किनारे पहुंचकर एक दिन इसी बारे में सोच रहा था तो ख्याल आया कि जम्मू-कश्मीर वूमेन कमीशन की सचिव हाफीजा मुज्जफर से मिला जाए, शायद वह कुछ मदद कर सके।

अगले दिन जब आफिस से हाफीजा के पास पहुंचा तो वह सवाल सुनकर चौंक गई। बोली पंडित जी आप पंडित नेहरू के वंश का पोस्टमार्टम करने आए हैं क्या? कश्मीरी चाय का आर्डर देने के बाद वह अपने बुक रैक से एक किताब निकाली, वह थी रॉबर्ट हार्डी एन्ड्रूज कि किताब "ए लैम्प फार इंडिया- द स्टोरी ऑफ मदाम पंडित।" उस किताब मे तथाकथित गंगाधर का चित्र छपा था, जिसके अनुसार गंगाधर असल में एक सुन्नी मुसलमान थे जिनका असली नाम था गयासुद्दीन गाजी।

इस फोटो को दिखाते हुए हाफीजा ने कहा कि इसकी पुष्टि के लिए नेहरू ने जो आत्मकथा लिखी है, उसको पढऩा जरूरी है। नेहरू की आत्मकथा भी अपने रैक से निकालते हुए एक पेज को पढऩे को कहा। इसमें एक जगह लिखा था कि उनके दादा अर्थात मोतीलाल के पिता गंगाधर थे। इसी तरह जवाहर की बहन कृष्णा ने भी एक जगह लिखा है कि उनके दादाजी मुगल सल्तनत बहादुरशाह जफर के समय में नगर कोतवाल थे। अब इतिहासकारो ने खोजबीन की तो पाया कि बहादुरशाह जफर के समय कोई भी हिन्दू इतनी महत्वपूर्ण ओहदे पर नहीं था। और खोजबीन करने पर पता चला कि उस वक्त के दो नायब कोतवाल हिन्दू थे नाम थे भाऊ सिंह और काशीनाथ जो कि लाहौरी गेट दिल्ली में तैनात थे। लेकिन किसी गंगाधर नाम के व्यक्ति का कोई रिकार्ड नहीं मिला है। नेहरू राजवंश की खोज में मेहदी हुसैन की पुस्तक बहादुरशाह जफर और 1857 का गदर में खोजबीन करने पर मालूम हुआ। गंगाधर नाम तो बाद में अंग्रेजों के कहर के डर से बदला गया था, असली नाम तो था गयासुद्दीन गाजी। जब अंग्रेजों ने दिल्ली को लगभग जीत लिया था तब मुगलों और मुसलमानों के दोबारा विद्रोह के डर से उन्होंने दिल्ली के सारे हिन्दुओं और मुसलमानों को शहर से बाहर करके तम्बुओं में ठहरा दिया था। जैसे कि आज कश्मीरी पंडित रह रहे हैं। अंग्रेज वह गलती नहीं दोहराना चाहते थे जो हिन्दू राजाओं-पृथ्वीराज चौहान ने मुसलमान आक्रांताओं को जीवित छोडकर की थी, इसलिये उन्होंने चुन-चुन कर मुसलमानों को मारना शुरु किया। लेकिन कुछ मुसलमान दिल्ली से भागकर पास के इलाकों मे चले गये थे। उसी समय यह परिवार भी आगरा की तरफ कूच कर गया। नेहरू ने अपनी आत्मकथा में लिखा है कि आगरा जाते समय उनके दादा गंगाधर को अंग्रेजों ने रोककर पूछताछ की थी लेकिन तब गंगाधर ने उनसे कहा था कि वे मुसलमान नहीं हैं कश्मीरी पंडित हैं और अंग्रेजों ने उन्हें आगरा जाने दिया बाकी तो इतिहास है ही। यह धर उपनाम कश्मीरी पंडितों में आमतौर पाया जाता है और इसी का अपभ्रंश होते-होते और धर्मान्तरण होते-होते यह दर या डार हो गया जो कि कश्मीर के अविभाजित हिस्से में आमतौर पाया जाने वाला नाम है। लेकिन मोतीलाल ने नेहरू उपनाम चुना ताकि यह पूरी तरह से हिन्दू सा लगे। इतने पीछे से शुरुआत करने का मकसद सिर्फ यही है कि हमें पता चले कि खानदानी लोगों कि असलियत क्या होती है।

आनंद भवन नहीं इशरत मंजिल: एक कप चाय खत्म हो गयी थी, दूसरी का आर्डर हाफीजा ने देते हुए के एन प्राण कि पुस्तक द नेहरू डायनेस्टी निकालने के बाद एक पन्ने को पढऩे को दिया। उसके अनुसार जवाहरलाल मोतीलाल नेहरू के पुत्र थे और मोतीलाल के पिता का नाम था गंगाधर। यह तो हम जानते ही हैं कि जवाहरलाल की एक पुत्री थी इन्दिरा प्रियदर्शिनी नेहरू । कमला नेहरू उनकी माता का नाम था। जिनकी मृत्यु स्विटजरलैण्ड में टीबी से हुई थी। कमला शुरु से ही इन्दिरा के फिरोज से विवाह के खिलाफ थीं क्यों यह हमें नहीं बताया जाता। लेकिन यह फिरोज गाँधी कौन थे? फिरोज उस व्यापारी के बेटे थे जो आनन्द भवन में घरेलू सामान और शराब पहुँचाने का काम करता था। आनन्द भवन का असली नाम था इशरत मंजिल और उसके मालिक थे मुबारक अली। मोतीलाल नेहरू पहले इन्हीं मुबारक अली के यहाँ काम करते थे। सभी जानते हैं की राजीव गाँधी के नाना का नाम था जवाहरलाल नेहरू लेकिन प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के नाना के साथ ही दादा भी तो होते हैं। फिर राजीव गाँधी के दादाजी का नाम क्या था? किसी को मालूम नहीं, क्योंकि राजीव गाँधी के दादा थे नवाब खान। एक मुस्लिम व्यापारी जो आनन्द भवन में सामान सप्लाई करता था और जिसका मूल निवास था जूनागढ गुजरात में। नवाब खान ने एक पारसी महिला से शादी की और उसे मुस्लिम बनाया। फिरोज इसी महिला की सन्तान थे और उनकी माँ का उपनाम था घांदी (गाँधी नहीं) घांदी नाम पारसियों में अक्सर पाया जाता था। विवाह से पहले फिरोज गाँधी ना होकर फिरोज खान थे और कमला नेहरू के विरोध का असली कारण भी यही था। हमें बताया जाता है कि फिरोज गाँधी पहले पारसी थे यह मात्र एक भ्रम पैदा किया गया है। इन्दिरा गाँधी अकेलेपन और अवसाद का शिकार थीं। शांति निकेतन में पढ़ते वक्त ही रविन्द्रनाथ टैगोर ने उन्हें अनुचित व्यवहार के लिये निकाल बाहर किया था। अब आप खुद ही सोचिये एक तन्हा जवान लडक़ी जिसके पिता राजनीति में पूरी तरह से व्यस्त और माँ लगभग मृत्यु शैया पर पड़ी हुई हों थोड़ी सी सहानुभूति मात्र से क्यों ना पिघलेगी?

इंदिरा गांधी या मैमूना बेगम: इसी बात का फायदा फिरोज खान ने उठाया और इन्दिरा को बहला-फुसलाकर उसका धर्म परिवर्तन करवाकर लन्दन की एक मस्जिद में उससे शादी रचा ली। नाम रखा मैमूना बेगम। नेहरू को पता चला तो वे बहुत लाल-पीले हुए लेकिन अब क्या किया जा सकता था। जब यह खबर मोहनदास करमचन्द गाँधी को मिली तो उन्होंने नेहरू को बुलाकर समझाया। राजनैतिक छवि की खातिर फिरोज को मनाया कि वह अपना नाम गाँधी रख ले, यह एक आसान काम था कि एक शपथ पत्र के जरिये बजाय धर्म बदलने के सिर्फ नाम बदला जाये तो फिरोज खान घांदी बन गये फिरोज गाँधी। विडम्बना यह है कि सत्य-सत्य का जाप करने वाले और सत्य के साथ मेरे प्रयोग नामक आत्मकथा लिखने वाले गाँधी ने इस बात का उल्लेख आज तक नहीं नहीं किया। खैर, उन दोनों फिरोज और इन्दिरा को भारत बुलाकर जनता के सामने दिखावे के लिये एक बार पुन: वैदिक रीति से उनका विवाह करवाया गया ताकि उनके खानदान की ऊँची नाक का भ्रम बना रहे। इस बारे में नेहरू के सेकेरेटरी एम.ओ. मथाई अपनी पुस्तक प्रेमेनिसेन्सेस ऑफ नेहरू एज (पृष्ठ 94 पैरा 2 (अब भारत में प्रतिबंधित है किताब) में लिखते हैं कि पता नहीं क्यों नेहरू ने सन 1942 में एक अन्तर्जातीय और अन्तर्धार्मिक विवाह को वैदिक रीतिरिवाजों से किये जाने को अनुमति दी जबकि उस समय यह अवैधानिक था का कानूनी रूप से उसे सिविल मैरिज होना चाहिये था । यह तो एक स्थापित तथ्य है कि राजीव गाँधी के जन्म के कुछ समय बाद इन्दिरा और फि रोज अलग हो गये थे हालाँकि तलाक नहीं हुआ था। फिरोज गाँधी अक्सर नेहरू परिवार को पैसे माँगते हुए परेशान किया करते थे और नेहरू की राजनैतिक गतिविधियों में हस्तक्षेप तक करने लगे थे। तंग आकर नेहरू ने फिरोज के तीन मूर्ति भवन मे आने-जाने पर प्रतिबन्ध लगा दिया था। मथाई लिखते हैं फिरोज की मृत्यु से नेहरू और इन्दिरा को बड़ी राहत मिली थी। 1960 में फिरोज गाँधी की मृत्यु भी रहस्यमय हालात में हुई थी जबकी वह दूसरी शादी रचाने की योजना बना चुके थे।

संजय गांधी और इंदिरा: संजय गाँधी का असली नाम दरअसल संजीव गाँधी था अपने बडे भाई राजीव गाँधी से मिलता जुलता । लेकिन संजय नाम रखने की नौबत इसलिये आई क्योंकि उसे लन्दन पुलिस ने इंग्लैण्ड में कार चोरी के आरोप में पकड़ लिया था और उसका पासपोर्ट जब्त कर लिया था। ब्रिटेन में तत्कालीन भारतीय उच्चायुक्त कृष्ण मेनन ने तब मदद करके संजीव गाँधी का नाम बदलकर नया पासपोर्ट संजय गाँधी के नाम से बनवाया था, इन्हीं कृष्ण मेनन साहब को भ्रष्टाचार के एक मामले में नेहरू और इन्दिरा ने बचाया था। अफवाहें यह भी है कि संजय गांधी इंदिरा गांधी के उनके सचिव युनुस खान से संबंधों के सच थे यह बात संजय गांधी को पता थी। अब संयोग पर संयोग देखिये संजय गाँधी का विवाह मेनका आनन्द से हुआ। कहा जाता है मेनका जो कि एक सिख लड़की थी संजय की रंगरेलियों की वजह से उनके पिता कर्नल आनन्द ने संजय को जान से मारने की धमकी दी थी फि र उनकी शादी हुई और मेनका का नाम बदलकर मानेका किया गया क्योंकि इन्दिरा गाँधी को यह नाम पसन्द नहीं था। फिर भी मेनका कोई साधारण लडकी नहीं थीं क्योंकि उस जमाने में उन्होंने बॉम्बे डाईंग के लिये सिर्फ एक तौलिये में विज्ञापन किया था। आमतौर पर ऐसा माना जाता है कि संजय गाँधी अपनी माँ को ब्लैकमेल करते थे और जिसके कारण उनके सभी बुरे कामो पर इन्दिरा ने हमेशा परदा डाला और उसे अपनी मनमानी करने कि छूट दी।

सन्यासिन का सच: एम.ओ.मथाई अपनी पुस्तक के पृष्ठ 206 पर लिखते हैं - 1948 में वाराणसी से एक सन्यासिन दिल्ली आई जिसका काल्पनिक नाम श्रद्धा माता था। वह संस्कत की विद्वान थी और कई सांसद उसके व्याख्यान सुनने को बेताब रहते थे। वह भारतीय पुरालेखों और सनातन संस्कृत की अच्छी जानकार थी। नेहरू के पुराने कर्मचारी एस.डी. उपाध्याय ने एक हिन्दी का पत्र नेहरू को सौंपा जिसके कारण नेहरू उस सन्यासिन को एक इंटरव्यू देने को राजी हुए। चूँकि देश तब आजाद हुआ ही था और काम बहुत था। नेहरू ने अधिकतर बार इंटरव्य़ू आधी रात के समय ही दिये। मथाई के शब्दों में एक रात मैने उसे पीएम हाऊस से निकलते देखा वह बहुत ही जवान खूबसूरत और दिलकश थी। एक बार नेहरू के लखनऊ दौरे के समय श्रध्दामाता उनसे मिली और उपाध्याय जी हमेशा की तरह एक पत्र लेकर नेहरू के पास आये नेहरू ने भी उसे उत्तर दिया और अचानक एक दिन श्रद्धा माता गायब हो गईं किसी के ढूँढे से नहीं मिलीं।

नवम्बर 1949 में बेंगलूर के एक कान्वेंट से एक सुदर्शन सा आदमी पत्रों का एक बंडल लेकर आया। उसने कहा कि उत्तर भारत से एक युवती उस कान्वेंट में कुछ महीने पहले आई थी और उसने एक बच्चे को जन्म दिया। उस युवती ने अपना नाम पता नहीं बताया और बच्चे के जन्म के तुरन्त बाद ही उस बच्चे को वहाँ छोडकर गायब हो गई थी। उसकी निजी वस्तुओं में हिन्दी में लिखे कुछ पत्र बरामद हुए जो प्रधानमन्त्री द्वारा लिखे गये हैं पत्रों का वह बंडल उस आदमी ने अधिकारियों के सुपुर्द कर दिया। मथाई लिखते हैं। मैने उस बच्चे और उसकी माँ की खोजबीन की काफी कोशिश की लेकिन कान्वेंट की मुख्य मिस्ट्रेस जो कि एक विदेशी महिला थी बहुत कठोर अनुशासन वाली थी और उसने इस मामले में एक शब्द भी किसी से नहीं क हा लेकिन मेरी इच्छा थी कि उस बच्चे का पालन-पोषण मैं करुँ और उसे रोमन कथोलिक संस्कारो में बड़ा करूँ चाहे उसे अपने पिता का नाम कभी भी मालूम ना हो लेकिन विधाता को यह मंजूर नहीं था। नेहरू राजवंश की कुंडली जानने के बाद घड़ी की तरफ देखा तो शाम पांच बज गए थे, हाफीजा से मिली ढेरों प्रमाणिक जानकारी के लिए शुक्रिया अदा करना दोस्ती के वसूल के खिलाफ था, इसलिए फिर मिलते हैं कहकर चल

गुजरात दंगे का सच
आज जहा देखो वहा गुजरात के दंगो के बारे में ही सुनने और देखने को मिलता है फिर चाहे वो गूगल हो या फसबूक हो या फिर टीवी| रोज रोज नए खुलाशे हो रहे हैं| रोज गुजरात की सरकार को कटघरे में खड़ा किया जाता है| सबका निशाना केवल एक नरेन्द्र मोदी| जिसे देखो वो अपने को को जज दिखाता है| हर कोई सेकुलर के नाम पर एक ही स्वर में गुजरात दंगो की भर्त्सना करते हैं| मै भी दंगो को गलत मानता हु क्युकी दंगे सिर्फ दर्द दे कर जाते हैं जिनको दंगो से कोई मतलब होता है उनको|

अब सवाल उठता है की गुजरात दंगा हुआ क्यों? २७ फरवरी २००२ साबरमती ट्रेन के बोगियों को जलाया गया गोधरा रेलवे स्टेशन से करीब ८२६ मीटर की दुरी पर| इस ट्रेन में जलने से ५७ लोगो को मौत हुई| प्रथम दृष्टया रहे वहा के १४ पुलिस के जवान जो उस समय स्टेशन पर मौजूद थे और उनमे से ३ पुलिस वाले घटना स्थल पर पहुचे और साथ ही पहुचे अग्नि शमन दल के एक जवान सुरेशगिरी गोसाई जी| अगर हम इन चारो लोगो की माने तो म्युनिसिपल काउंसिलर हाजी बिलाल भीड़ को आदेश दे रहे थे ट्रेन के इंजन को जलने का| साथ ही साथ जब ये जवान आग बुझाने की कोशिस कर रहे थे तब ट्रेन पर पत्थरबाजी चालू कर दी गई भीड़ के द्वारा| अब इसके आगे बढ़ कर देखे तो जब गोधरा पुलिस स्टेशन की टीम पहुची तब २ लोग १०,००० की भीड़ को उकसा रहे थे ये थे म्युनिसिपल प्रेसिडेंट मोहम्मद कलोटा और म्युनिसिपल काउंसिलर हाजी बिलाल|

अब सवाल उठता है की मोहम्मद कलोटा और हाजी बिलाल को किसने उकसाया और ये ट्रेन को जलाने क्यों गए?
सवालो के बाढ़ यही नहीं रुकते हैं बल्कि सवालो की लिस्ट अभी लम्बी है|

अब सवाल उठता है की क्यों मारा गया ऐसे राम भक्तो को| कुछ मीडिया ने बताया की ये मुसलमानों को उकसाने वाले नारे लगा रहे....अब क्या कोई बताएगा की क्या भगवान राम के भजन मुसलमानों को उकसाने वाले लगते हैं?

लेकिन इसके पहले भी एक हादसा हुआ २७ फ़रवरी २००२ को सुबह ७:४३ मिनट ४ घंटे की देरी से जैसे ही साबरमती ट्रेन चली और प्लेटफ़ॉर्म छोड़ा तो प्लेटफ़ॉर्म से १०० मीटर की दुरी पर ही १००० लोगो की भीड़ ने ट्रेन पर पत्थर चलाने चालू कर दिए पर यहाँ रेलवे की पुलिस ने भीड़ को तितर बितर कर दिया और ट्रेन को आगे के लिए रवाना कर दिया| पर जैसे ही ट्रेन मुस्किल से ८०० मीटर चली अलग अलग बोगियों से कई बार चेन खिंची गई| बाकि की कहानी जिसपर बीती उसकी जुबानी| उस समय मुस्किल से १५-१६ की बच्ची की जुबानी|

ये बच्ची थी कक्षा ११ में पढने वाली गायत्री पंचाल जो की उस समय अपने परिवार के साथ अयोध्या से लौट रही थी की माने तो ट्रेन में राम धुन चल रहा था और ट्रेन जैसे ही गोधरा से आगे बढ़ी एक दम से रोक दिया गई चेन खिंच कर| उसके बाद देखने में आया की एक भीड़ हथियारों से लैस हो कर ट्रेन की तरफ बढ़ रही है| हथियार भी कैसे लाठी डंडा नहीं बल्कि तलवार, गुप्ती, भाले, पेट्रोल बम्ब, एसिड बल्ब्स और पता नहीं क्या क्या| भीड़ को देख कर ट्रेन में सवार यात्रियों ने खिड़की और दरवाजे बंद कर लिए पर भीड़ में से जो अन्दर घुस आए थे वो कार सेवको को मार रहे थे और उनके सामानों को लूट रहे थे और साथ ही बहार कड़ी भीड़ मरो-काटो के नारे लगा रही थी| एक लाउड स्पीकर जो की पास के मस्जिद पर था उससे बार बार ये आदेश दिया जा रहा था की "मारो, काटो. लादेन ना दुश्मनों ने मारो"| साथ ही बहार खड़ी भीड़ ने पेट्रोल डाल कर आग लगाना चालू कर दिया जिससे कोई जिन्दा ना बचे| ट्रेन की बोगी में चारो तरफ पेट्रोल भरा हुआ था| दरवाजे बहार से बंद कर दिए गए थे ताकि कोई बहार ना निकल सके| एस-६ और एस-७ के वैक्यूम पाइप कट दिया गया था ताकि ट्रेन आगे बढ़ ही नहीं सके| जो लोग जलती ट्रेन से बहार निकल पाए कैसे भी उन्हें काट दिया गया तेज हथियारों से कुछ वही गहरे घाव की वजह से मारे गए और कुछ बुरी तरह घायल हो गए|

अब सवाल उठता है की हिंदुवो ने सुबह ८ बजे ही दंगा क्यों नहीं शुरू किया बल्कि हिन्दू उस दिन दोपहर तक शांत बना रहा (ये बात आज तक किसी को नहीं दिखी है)| हिंदुवो ने जवाब देना चालू किया जब उनके घरो, गओंवो, मोहल्लो में वो जली और कटी फटी लाशें पहुंची| क्या ये लाशें हिंदुवो को मुसलमानों की गिफ्ट थी और हिंदुवो को शांत बैठना चाहिए था सेकुलर बन कर या शायद हाँ| हिन्दू सड़क पर उतारे २७ फ़रवरी २००२ के दोपहर से| पूरा एक दिन हिन्दू शांति से घरो में बैठा रहा| अगर वो दंगा हिंदुवो या मोदी ने करना था तो २७ फ़रवरी २००२ की सुबह ८ बजे से क्यों नहीं चालू हुआ? जबकि मोदी ने २८ फ़रवरी २००२ की शाम को ही आर्मी को सडको पर लाने का आदेश दिया जो की अगले ही दिन १ मार्च २००२ को हो गया और सडको पर आर्मी उतर आयी गुजरात को जलने से बचाने के लिए| पर भीड़ के आगे आर्मी भी कम पड़ रही थी तो १ मार्च २००२ को ही मोदी ने अपने पडोसी राज्यों से सुरक्षा कर्मियों की मांग करी| ये पडोसी राज्य थे महाराष्ट्र (कांग्रेस शासित- विलाश राव देशमुख मुख्य मंत्री), मध्य प्रदेश (कांग्रेस शासित- दिग विजय सिंह मुख्य मंत्री), राजस्थान (कांग्रेस शासित- अशोक गहलोत मुख्य मंत्री) और पंजाब (कांग्रेस शासित- अमरिंदर सिंह मुख्य मंत्री) | क्या कभी किसी ने भी इन माननीय मुख्यमंत्रियों से एक बार भी पुछा की अपने सुरक्षा कर्मी क्यों नहीं भेजे गुजरात में जबकि गुजरात ने आपसे सहायता मांगी थी| या ये एक सोची समझी गूढ़ राजनीती द्वेष का परिचायक था इन प्रदेशो के मुख्यमंत्रियों का गुजरात को सुरक्षा कर्मियों का ना भेजना|

उसी १ मार्च २००२ को हमारे राष्ट्रीय मानवीय अधिकार (National Human Rights) वालो ने मोदी को अल्टीमेटम दिया ३ दिन में पुरे घटनाक्रम का रिपोर्ट पेश करने के लिए लेकिन कितने आश्चर्य की बात है की यही राष्ट्रीय मानवा अधिकार वाले २७ फ़रवरी २००२ और २८ फ़रवरी २००२ को गायब रहे| इन मानवा अधिकार वालो ने तो पहले दिन के ट्रेन के फूंके जाने पर ये रिपोर्ट माँगा की क्या कदम उठाया गया गुजरात सरकार के द्वारा|

एक ऐसे ही सबसे बड़े घटना क्रम में दिखाए गए या कहे तो बेचे गए "गुलबर्ग सोसाइटी" के जलने की| इस गुलबर्ग सोसाइटी ने पुरे मीडिया का ध्यान अपने तरफ खिंच लिया| यहाँ एक पूर्व संसद एहसान जाफरी साहब रहते थे| ये महाशय का ना तो एक भी बयान था २७ फरवरी २००२ को और ना ही ये डरे थे उस समय तक| लेकिन जब २८ फरवरी २००२ की सुबह जब कुछ लोगो ने इनके घर को घेरा जिसमे कुछ कुछ तथाकथित मुस्लमान छुपे हुए थे, तो एहसान जाफरी जी ने भीड़ पर गोली चलवाया अपने लोगो से जिसमे २ हिन्दू मरे और १३ हिन्दू गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए| फिर इस घटनाक्रम के बाद जब भीड़ बढ़ने लगी इनके घर पर तो ये औथोरितिज, अपने यार-दोस्तों को फ़ोन करने लगे और तभी गैस सिलिंडर के फटने से कुल ४२ लोग मरे| यहाँ शायद भीड़ के आने पर ही एहसान साहब को पुलिस को फ़ोन करना चाहिए था ना की खुद के बन्दों के द्वारा गोली चलवाना चाहिए था| पर इन्होने गोली चलाने के बाद फ़ोन किया डाइरेक्टर जेनेरल ऑफ़ पुलिस को| यहाँ एक और झूट सामने आया जब अरुंधती रॉय जैसी लेखिका तक ने यहाँ तक लिख दिया की एहसान जाफरी की बेटी को नंगा करके बलात्कार के बाद मारा गया और साथ ही एहसान जाफरी को भी| पर यहाँ एहसान जाफरी के बड़े बेटे ने ही पोल खोल दी की उसके पिता की जान गई उस दिन पर उसकी बहन तो अमेरिका में रहती थी और रहती है| तो यहाँ कौन किसको झूटे केस में फंसना चाह रहा है ये क्लियर है|

अब यहाँ तक तो सही था पर गोधरा में साबरमती को कैसे इस दंगे से अलग किया जाता और हिंदुवो को इसके लिए आरोपित किया जाता इसके लिए लोग गोधरा के दंगे को ऐसे तो संभल नहीं सकते थे अपने शब्दों से, तो एक कहानी प्रकाश में आई| कहानी थी की कारसेवक गोधरा स्टेशन पर चाय पिने उतरे और चाय देने वाला जो की एक मुस्लमान था उसको पैसे नहीं दिए...बल्कि गुजराती अपनी ईमानदारी के लिए जाने जाते हैं...चलिए छोडिये ये धर्मान्धो की कहानी में कभी दिखेगा ही नहीं आगे बढ़ते हैं| अब कारसेवको ने पैसा तो दिया नहीं बल्कि मुस्लमान की दाढ़ी खिंच कर उसको मारने लगे तभी उस बूढ़े मुस्लमान की बेटी जो की १६ साल की बताई गई वो आई तो कारसेवको ने उसको बोगी में खिंच कर बोगी का दरवाजा बंद कर दिया अन्दर से| और इसके प्रतिफल में मुसलमानों ने ट्रेन में आग लगा दी और ५८ लोगो को मार दिया जिन्दा जला कर या काट कर| अब अगर इस मनगढ़ंत कहानी को मान भी लें तो कई सवाल उठते हैं:-

क्या उस बूढ़े मुस्लमान चाय वाले ने रेलवे पुलिस को इत्तिला किया?
रेलवे पुलिस उस ट्रेन को वहा से जाने नहीं देती या लड़की को उतर लिया जाता|
उस बूढ़े चाय वाले ने २७ फ़रवरी २००२ को कोई ऍफ़.आइ.आर क्यों नहीं दाखिल किया?
५ मिनट में ही सैकड़ो लीटर पेट्रोल और इतनी बड़ी भीड़ आखिर जुटी कैसे?
सुबह ८ बजे सैकड़ो लीटर पेट्रोल आया कहा से?
एक भी केस २७ फ़रवरी २००२ के तारीख में मुसलमानों के द्वारा क्यों नहीं दाखिल हुआ?

अब असलियत ये सामने आयी रेलवे पुलिस की तफतीस में की उस दिन गोधरा स्टेसन पर कोई ऐसी घटना हुई ही नहीं थी| ना तो चाय वाले के साथ कोई झगडा हुआ था और ना ही किसी लड़की के साथ में कोई बदतमीजी या अपहरण की घटना हुई| इसके बाद आयी नानावती रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है की जमीअत-उलमा-इ-हिंद का हाथ था उन ५८ लोगो के जलने में और ट्रेन के जलने में|

दंगे में ७२० मुस्लमान मारे तो २५० हिन्दू भी मारे| मुसलमानों के मरने का सभी शोक मानते हैं चाहे वो हिन्दू हो, चाहे वो मुस्लमान हो या चाहे वो राजनेता या मीडिया हो पर दंगे में २५० मरे हुए हिंदुवो और साबरमती ट्रेन में मरे ५८ हिंदुवो को कोई नहीं पूछता है कोई बात तक नहीं करता है सभी को केवल मरे हुए मुस्लमान दीखते हैं|

एक और बात काबिले गौर है क्या किसी भी मुस्लिम लीडर का बयान आया था साबरमती ट्रेन के जलने पर?
क्या किसी मुस्लिम लीडर ने साबरमती ट्रेन को चिता बनाने के लिए खेद प्रकट किया?

अब एक छोटा सा इतिहास देना चाहूँगा गोधरा के पुराने दंगो का...क्युकी २००२ की घटना पहली घटना नहीं थी गोधरा के लिए

१९४६: सद्वा रिज़वी और चुडिघर ये दोनों पाकिस्तान सपोर्टर थे ने पारसी सोलापुरी को दंगे में मारा बाद में विभाजन के बाद चुडिघर पाकिस्तान चला गया
१९४८: सद्वा रिज़वी ने ही कलेक्टर श्री पिम्पुत्कर को मरना चाहा जिसे कलेक्टर के अंगरक्षकों ने बचाया अपनी जान देकर और उसके बाद सद्वा रिज़वी पाकिस्तान भाग गया
१९४८: एक हिन्दू का गला काटा गया और करीब २००० हिन्दू घर जला दिए गए जहा ६ महीने तक कर्फ्यू चला
१९६५: पुलिस चौकी नंबर ७ के पास के हिंदुवो के घर और दुकान जला दिए गए साथ ही पुलिस स्टेशन पर भी मुसलमानों का हमला हुआ उस समय वहा के MLA कांग्रेस के थे और वो भी मुस्लमान थे
१९८०: २ हिन्दू बच्चो सहित ५ लोगो को जिन्दा जला दिया गया, ४० दुकानों को जला दिया गया, गुरूद्वारे को जला दिया गया मुसलमानों के द्वारा, यहाँ १ साल तक कर्फ्यू रहा
१९९०: ४ हिन्दू शिक्षको के साथ एक हिन्दू दर्जी को काट दिया गया
१९९२: १०० से ज्यादा घरो को जला दिया गया ताकि ये मुस्लमान उन जमीनों पर कब्ज़ा कर सकें आज वो जमीने वीरान पड़ी हैं क्युकी इनके चलते हिनू वहा से चले गए
२००२: ३ बोगियों को जला दिया गया जिसमे ५८ लोग जल कर मरे इनमे से कुछ लोग जो बचे और बहार निकलने की कोशिस किये उनको काट दिया गया
२००३: गणेश प्रतिमा के विशार्जन के समय मुसलमानों ने पत्थरबाजी की और इस खबर को रीडिफ़ और टाइम्स ऑफ़ इंडिया ने छपा बाकि किसी ने भी नही

एक तस्वीर बेचीं जाती है गुजरात दंगे के तौर पर वो है कुतुबुद्दीन अंसारी की

पर यही मीडिया ये तस्वीरे क्यों नहीं दिखाती जो की ट्रेन जलने से मरे या कोई सेकुलर इनके बारे में नहीं बात करता है?




    मुसलमान सारी दुनिया में वास्तव में सबसे दुखी कौम है । मुसलमान कहते हैं सारी दुनिया इस्लाम को समाप्त करने की साजिश कर रही है । वे ऐसा क्यों कहते हैं वे ऐसा इसीलिए कहते हैं क्योंकि वे खुद सारी गैर मुस्लिम दुनिया को समाप्त करके सारी दुनिया को इस्लाम के हरे रंग में रंगने की तैयारी कर रहे हैं । चूंकि वे खुद सारी दुनिया के हजार वर्ष से दुश्मन बनें हैं अतः उन्हें सारी दुनिया भी मुसलमानो की दुश्मन नजर आती है । दिया । अब हथियारों का उत्तर किसी भी दुनिया में अंहिसा से नहीं दिया जा सकता अतएव भारत सरकार ने भी मजबूरी में अपनी सेना को कश्मीर में लगाना पड़ा । अब लगातार 25 वर्षों से कश्मीर भारत से केवल सेना के बल पर ही रूका हुआ है अगर आज भारत सरकार कश्मीर से सेना हटा लेती है तो निश्चित रूप से कश्मीरी मुसलमान कश्मीर का पाकिस्तान में विलय कर देंगे ये मुसलमानों की मजबूरी है । कुरान व मौहम्मद के आदेश से मुसलमान इंकार कर नहीं सकते । इसीलिए वह कश्मीरी जिसकी प्रति व्यक्ति आय आतंकवाद के शुरू होने से पहले भारत में सबसे अधिक थी आज हजारों करोड़ की मदद से दाना पानी खा रहे हैं

    ईरान में अविवाहित लड़की की फाँसी देने के पहले उनका बलात्कार किया जाता है..चूँकि मुसलमान धर्म के अनुसार बिना शादी-शुदा लड़की को फाँसी देने का नियम नहीं है इसलिए उस कुँवारी लड़की का जल्लाद से शादी करवाकर उसका कौमार्य तोड़ा जाता है और उसके अगले दिन फाँसी दी जाती है..यनि इनके लिए शादी का मतलब बस इतना सा ही है..यनि बस सेक्स करना..वो शादी वाली रात इतनी भयानक होती है कि लड़कियाँ फाँसी से नहीं बल्कि उस बलात्कार वाले रात से ही डरती है..कई लड़कियों को उस रात के बाद अपना चेहरा बुरी तरह नोचते देखा गया है..

    खिलजी वंश के पतन के पश्चात् तुगलकों-
    ग्यासुद्दीन तुगलक (१३२०-२५) मौहम्मद बिन तुगलक (१३२५-१३५१ ई.) एवं फ़िरोज शाह तुगलक(१३५१-१३८८) का राज्य आया।
    फ़िरोज तुगलक ने जब जाजनगर (उड़ीसा) पर हमला किया तो वह राज शेखर के पुत्र को पकड़ने में सफल हो गया। उसने उसको मुसलमान बनाकर उसका नाम शकर रखा।(६२)
    सुल्तान फ़िरोज तुगलक अपनी जीवनी ‘फतुहाल-ए-फिरोजशाही’ में लिखता है-’मैं प्रजा को इस्लाम स्वीकारने के लिये उत्साहित करता था। मैंने घोषणा कर दी थी कि इस्लाम स्वीकार करने वाले पर लगा जिजिया माफ़ कर दिया जायेगा।
    यह सूचना जब लोगों तक पहुँची तो लोग बड़ी संखया में मुसलमान बनने लगे। इस प्रकार आज के दिन तक वह चहुँ ओर से चले आ रहे हैं। इस्लाम ग्रहण करने पर उनका जिजिया माफ कर दिया जाता है और उन्हें खिलअत तथा दूसरी वस्तुएँ भेंट दी जाती है।(६२)
    १३६० ई. में फिरोज़शाह तुगलक ने जगन्नाथपुरी के मंदिर को ध्वस्त किया। अपनी आत्मकथा में यह सुल्तान हिन्दू प्रजा के विरुद्ध अपने अत्याचारों का वर्णन करते हुए लिखता है-’जगन्नाथ की मूर्ति तोड़ दी गयी और पृथ्वी पर फेंक कर अपमानित की गई। दूसरी मूर्ति खोद डाली गई और जगन्नाथ की मूर्ति के साथ मस्जिदों के सामने सुन्नियों के मार्ग में डाल दी गई जिससे वह मुस्लिमों के जूतों के नीचे रगड़ी जाती रहें।’(६३)
    इस सुल्तान के आदेश थे कि जिस स्थान को भी विजय किया जाये, वहाँ जो भी कैदी पकड़े जाये; उनमें से छाँटकर सर्वोत्तम सुल्तान की सेवा के लिये भेज दिये जायें। शीघ्र ही उसके पास १८०००० (एक लाख अस्सी हजार) गुलाम हो गये।(६३क)
    ‘उड़ीसा के मंदिरों को तोड़कर फिरोजशाह ने समुद्र में एक टापू पर आक्रमण किया। वहाँ जाजनगर से भागकर एक लाख शरणार्थी स्त्री-बच्चे इकट्ठे हो गये थे। इस्लाम के तलवारबाजों ने टापू को काफिरों के रक्त का प्याला बना दिया। गर्भवती स्त्रियों, बच्चों को पकड़-पकड़कर सिपाहियों का गुलाम बना दिया गया।’(६४)
    नगर कोट कांगड़ा में ज्वालामुखी मंदिर का यही हाल हुआ। फरिश्ता के अनुसार मूर्ति के टुकड़ों को गाय के गोश्त के साथ तोबड़ों में भरकर ब्राहमणों की गर्दनों से लटका दिया गया। मुखय मूर्ति बतौर विजय चिन्ह के मदीना भेज दी गई। (६८)

    मौहम्मद-बिन-हामिद खानी की पुस्तक ‘तारीखे मौहमदी’ के अनुसार फीरोज तुगलक के पुत्र नसीरुद्दीन महमूद ने राम सुमेर पर आक्रमण करते समय सोचा कि यदि मैं सेना को सीधे-सीधे आक्रमण के आदेश दे दूँगा तो सैनिक क्षेत्र में एक भी हिन्दू को जीवित नहीं छोड़ेंगे। यदिमैं धीरे-धीरे आगे बढूँगा तो कदाचित वे इस्लाम स्वीकार करने को राजी हो जायेंगे। (६६)
    मालवा में १४५४ ई. में सुल्तान महमूद ने हाड़ा राजपूतों पर आक्रमण किया तो उसने अनेकों का वध कर दिया और उनके परिवारों को गुलाम बनाकर माँडू भेज दिया। (६७)
    ग्सासुद्दीन (१४६९-१५००) का हरम हिन्दू जमींदारों और राजाओं की सुंदर गुलाम पुत्रियों से भरा हुआ था। इनकी संखया निजामुद्दीन के अनुसार १६००० (सोलह हजार) और फरिद्गता के अनुसार १०,००० (दस हजार) थी। इनकी देखभाल के लिये सहस्त्रों गुलाम रहे होंगे। (६९)
    दक्खन
    प्रथम बहमनी सुल्तान अलाउद्दीन बहमन शाह (१३४७-१३५८) ने उत्तरी कर्नाटक के हिन्दू राजाओं पर आक्रमण किया। लूट में मंदिरों में नाचने वाली १००० (एक हजार) हिन्दू स्त्रियाँ हाथ आई। (६९)
    १४०६ में सुल्तान ताजुद्दीन फ़िरोज़ (१३९७-१४२२) ने विजयनगर के विरुद्ध युद्ध में वहाँ से ६०,००० (साठ हजार) किद्गाोरों और बच्चों को पकड़ कर गुलाम बनाया। द्गाांति स्थापित होने पर बुक्का राजा ने दूसरी भेंटों के अतिरिक्त गाने नाचने में निपुण २००० (दो हजार) लड़के-लड़कियाँ भेंट में दिये। (७०)
    उसका उत्तराधिकारी अहमद वली (१४२२-३६)विजयनगर को एक ओर से दूसरी ओर तक लोगों का कत्ले-आम करता, स्त्रियों और बच्चों को गुलाम बनाता, रौंद रहा था। सभी गुलाम मुसलमान बना लिये जाते थे। (७१)
    सुल्तान अलाउद्दीन (१४३६-४८) ने अपने हरम में १००० (एक हजार) स्त्रियाँ इकट्ठी कर ली थीं।(७२)
    जब हम सोचते हैं कि बहमनी सुल्तानों और विजयनगर में लगभग १५० वर्ष तक युद्ध होता रहा तो कितने कत्ल हुये, कितनी स्त्रियाँ और बच्चे गुलाम बनाये गये और कितनों का बलात् धर्मान्तरण किया, गया उसका हिसाब लगाना कठिन हो जाता है। (७३)
    बंगाल
    ‘बंगाल के डरपोक लोगों को तलवार के बल पर १३वीं-१४वीं शताब्दी में बड़े पैमाने पर मुसलमान बनाने का श्रेय (इस्लाम के) जोशीले सिपाहियों को जाता है जिन्होंने पूर्वी सीमाओं तक घने जंगलों में पैठ कर वहाँ इस्लाम के झंडे गाड़ दिये। लोकोक्ति के अनुसार, इनमें सबसे अधिक सफल थे; आदम शहीद, शाह जलाल मौहम्मद और कर्मफरमा साहब। सिलहट के शाह जलाल द्वारा बड़े पैमाने पर हिन्दुओं को मुसलमान बनाया गया। इस्माइल द्गााह गाजी ने हिन्दू राजा को पराजित कर बड़ी संखया में हिन्दुओं का धर्मान्तरण किया (७३क) इन नामों के साथ जुड़े ‘गाजी’ (हिन्दुओंको कत्ल करने वाला) और ‘शहीद’ (धर्म युद्ध में हिन्दुओं द्वारा मारे जाने वाला) शब्द से ही उनके उत्साह का अनुमान किया जा सकता है।
    ‘१९०१ की जनगणना रिपोर्ट के अनुसार अनेक स्थानों पर हिन्दुओं पर भीद्गाण अत्याचार किये गये। लोकगाथाओं के अनुसार मौहम्मद इस्माइल शाह ‘गाजी’ ने हुगली के हिन्दू राजा को पराजित कर दिया और लोगों का बलात् धर्मान्तरण किया। (७४)
    इसी रिपोर्ट के अनुसार मुर्शिद कुली खाँ का नियम था कि जो भी किसान अथवा जमींदार लगान न दे सके उसको परिवार सहित मुसलमान होना पड़ता था। (७५)

Kashmiri Brahmins and their Distinctive Culture

that when this river dried up, these Brahmins gotscattered. There is a tradition that quite a largesection of this uprooted community settled in theWestern Konkan coast of the present state ofMaharashtra, where they still hold together sociallyand call themselves "Saraswat Brahmins". Othersmoved further North into the Valley of Kashmir and,as the story goes, settled there after securing thepermission of the Naga tribes who then ruled overthis region. So, in the course of centuries, whileholding fast to their traditional Aryan Vedic moorings,they sought to work out certain patterns of religiousand social behaviour which distinguish themmarginally from the Brahmanic traditions of the restof India. This in short is how legendary tradition places thesettlement and evolution of this Brahmin communityin Kashmir. Some discerning Western scholars havetried, in view of the distinctive physical features ofthis community, to class them as probably the stillcontinuing purest possible stock of Vedic Aryanswho, in some still not positively located past age,came to settle in the Indian subcontinent. There is nodoubt that the members of this small Brahmincormnunity continue even upto now to hark back totheir Vedic past. But it is obvious that, in theircomparatively isolated mountain girt habitat, theytried to recreate for themselves in the Valley parallelimportant traditional places of pilgrimage so dear toHindus in the rest of India. For example, they hadmarked a spot in the North of the Valley where amountain stream flows into a lake as HarmukatGanga and would till very recent times consign theashes of their departed ones in its waters when theycould not easily reach the traditional river Gangavenerated by all Hindus through countless ages.Similarly, about twelve miles below Srinagar atShadipur, they treated the confluence of the Jhelum(Vitasta as named in our ancient Sanskrit texts) anda mountain stream still named Sind in Kashmir, as ofequal status in sanctity to Prayag (now Allahabad)where, the waters of the holiest rivers of the Hindufaith, Ganga and Yarnuna along with the legendarySaraswati, mingle their streams before they moveonwards to empty their waters in the Bay of Bengal.Similarly, many other leading places of pilgrimagein India are duplicated in the valley. In fact, asseveral foreign travellers to Kashmir have observedduring the past three to four centuries, the wholevalley of Kashmir is dotted with Hindu pilgrimcentres located at lakes and springs and on mountaintops. In this pattern also fall the holy springs namedusually as Nagas, obviously harking back to anunrecorded pre-Aryan phase of Kashmir chronicles. To these distinctive features of Hindu tradition inthe Valley, may be added the unique and still preservedtexts of works that, like Nilamat Purana andKathasaritasagara, are a product of ancient wisdomexpressed in the latter work of imaginativelyconceived tales like the famed Panchatantra talesabout beasts and birds. As in the rest of India. theemergence of the Buddhist movement was meant toquestion the sanctity of the caste system and theVedic ritualistic worship. With the later complicationsof Buddha's simple creed, as has happened to mostother religious movements in the world, therefollowed in India a revival of what may be describedas Brahmanic Hinduism, paving the way for theimposition of a sort of absurdly rigid caste system

and untouchability. While the impact of this counter-

revolution led to unprecedented and almost inhuman

rigidity in certain regions, there was no revival of the

caste system in Kashmir. For one, the Brahmin

community of Kashmir appears to have cooperated

with the spread of the Buddhist faith, for many

Kashmiri Brahmins travelled to China and the Far

East as missionaries of this movement without

rejecting altogether their Brahminic past. Then came

Islam to the valley, first through missionaries of this

new aggressive foreign faith and later in the form of

rulers in the fourteenth century A.D. The proselytizing

zeal of Sultan Sikander, in fact, led to a crusade of

total suppression of the Hindu religion and destruction

of its places of worship. With this onslaught, while

the lower Hindu castes altogether disappeared from

the scene, only a small section of the Brahmin caste

refused to submit to this holocaust, preferring death

or voluntary exile from their homeland. But human

history is dotted with numerous surprising

developments. In the history of Kashmir, a new

movement was marked by the benign era of

Sikander's son and successor, Zain ul-Abidin,

popularly still remembered as Badshah or the Great

King, who ruled over Kashmir for half a century and

most zealously pursued a policy of reclaiming and

rehabilitating the Brahmin community as a value-

based section of the population. So, in the absence of

any lower Hindu castes for several centuries, the

Brahmins of Kashmir have traditionally remained

immune from the worst absurdities of the Hindu

caste system.

  Apart from the tolerant phase of Muslim rule first

firmly inaugurated by Zain ul-Abidin and later

zealously revived by Akbar, the history of Kashmir

was marked during this era by the emergence of other

harmonizing factors among both the Muslims and

Brahmins of the Valley. While some scholarly and

saintly Brahmins evolved a new universal aspect of

Hindu ethos in the form of Shaivism, the Muslims

were deeply involved in a tolerant aspect of Islamic

Sufism marked by the rise of what is called the Rishi

cult in Kashmir. These new developments came to

be personified in the careers and utterances in native

Kashmiri of Lal Ded (a Hindu wandering woman

saint) and Saint Nur-ud-Din Noorani whose tomb is

still venerated both by Muslims and Hindus as a seat

of pilgrimage at Chrar, a hillside village, west of

Srinagar, and recently vandalized by non-Kashmiri

militants.

   It is true that the Kashmiri Brahmins belong

basically to the main stream of the centuries-old

Indian Brahminhood. Nevertheless, because of their

comparative geographical isolationism the Northern

Indian plains and the disappearance of the lower

castes under the impact of Buddhism and later of

Islam, they evolved a distinct pattern of social

behaviour. For one, they were not obsessed by a

"touch-me-not" policy, so characteristic till recent

times of the Brahmins in some other region of India;

and, in fact, they were willing to accept uncooked

eatables even from Muslims. Moreover, in their

cuisine, they had no hesitation in taking to flesh

foods like lamb and fish, while they rigidly avoided

till recent times consuming poultry products, both

flesh and eggs. Following the consolidation of Muslim

rule, while they retained their attachment to Vedic

Sanskrit as the medium of their religious scriptures,

they easily took to learning Persian when it got

confirmed as the principal official language for

transacting official business and later even for their

private correspondence.

   In the context of what has been already observed,

with the evolution of Shaivism as a distinct religious

philosophy, the Shiva worship assumed special

importance along with the continuing veneration of

other gods of the Hindu pantheon and the various

aspects of the worship of the Goddess as the Supreme

Divine Mother. It is thus not surprising that, with the

ascendancy of Shiva worship, the observance of

Maha Shivratri Festival in the first dark fortnight of

the month of Phalgun (corresponding to February in

the international Christian calendar) came to be

observed as the principal religious festival in the

annual calendar of Kashmiri Brahmins. In the

traditional Hindu pantheon, Shiva is represented in

various forms, as the Destroyer in the Hindu trinity

comprising in addition Brahma (the Creator) and

Vishnu (the Preserver). But later Shiva is represented

also as the Nataraja or the Supreme representative

and inspirer of dance and music. Moreover, in

Kashmir Shaivism, Shiva is projected as the abiding

revelation of cosmos and of all life, both visible and

invisible. This amounts to a projection of some

modification of the ancient Upanishidic presentation

of all the universe, as we see it or perceive it

intellectually, as Maya, an illusion or play show as

projected by the Eternal Divine Creator of time and

space. Traditionally, among Kashmiri Brahmins the

festival of Shivratri was spread over the major part of

a fortnight, with special distinct religious and social

rituals marking each day of the period and culminating

obviously in thc night-long worship followcd by

feasting on the night of the thirteenth of the dark

fortnight of Phalgun. Incidentally, in the Valley of

Kashmir this festival period was also expected to

prepare the people for the oncoming of the spring

season marking a renewal of all life in the mountain

girt and snow-bound Valley. As an example, the

Festival of Durga Puja in Bengal has provided a

parallel in its religious and social dimensions to

Shivratri as celebrated in Kashmir through centuries

past. With the recent dispersal of the terrorised

minority Brahmins of Kashmir over the Indian

subcontinent and abroad in distant lands, obviously

in their vastly changed social and working

environments, our people have not now adequate

leisure and urge to observe this subnational festival

as elaborately as it used to be celebrated back in the

Valley of the gods. Even so, we should observe it all

over the world, may be in abridged versions, with as

much faith and fervour as our forbears celebrated

this festival over several centuries past.

1) Patriotism: In a socially diffused country like India; where every social group is involved in selfish agenda; patriotism by Brahmin, who are victims of hatred, persecution and discrimination on ethnic ground is waste of energy and diversion from problem of Brahmin themselves. So far so many Brahmin sacrificed their family welfare, property and lives for this cause, what Brahmin got in return? A must ask question to himself by every Brahmin. Not even equal citizenship.
2) Hindutva: political agenda of hindutva political parties now these days is not different from congress. All parties including BJP are supporting caste based discrimination and reservations. Because of hindutva Brahmin are labeled as castist and hostile to other religion by some powers vary articulately, cunningly. Brahmin are thus making themselves victim and disqualified in politics of this country. Increasing enemies.
One another question is; are non Brahmin hindus really concerned about hindutva? , in my view their priorities are totally different and hindutva is the last thing of concern for them. No one will be ready to sacrifice their reservations for sake of Hinduism. So shouting for an empty cause again by the micro minority community like Brahmin is a big joke and wasting of energy, which can be utilized in self up gradation, organization, brotherhood, development of Brahmin.
Hindutva parties are a good ladder for all minority non Brahmin caste to power. Brahmin becomes bonded labors in this business.
So, dharma and hidutva, in private, individual sphere only; not in public sphere. Chant mantras, read Vedas in homes, do not involve in futile business of dharmaraksha, darmajagaran etc. No more energy waste and enmity with other communities. We have a lot of enemies among hindus itself. Let those do it who get something from that. Concentration on problems of Brahmin only. It is call of time.
3) Samajseva (social service for others): again a must ask question what Brahmin got in return or fruit of the social service?( A lot many Brahmin done enormous social service In every field of life, for non Brahmin community, sacrificing own physical, mental health, family welfare, properties and much more). ANS: Ingratitude, hatred, discrimination, secondary citizen like conditions. All who benefitted from Brahmin social service finally become anti Brahmin and forget the help Brahmin given to them in their bad days.(someone will argue this is human nature but here an agenda is going against a particular ethnic group namely Brahmin collectively so the answer necessitates this discretion)
We have not taken contract of the Deshbhakti( patriotism), samajseva(social sevice), hindutva.
4) Self imposed one child policy: this policy is making Brahmin community a paralyzed and mentally collectively weak community. Single children tend to be more delicate in nature. Secondly one child from two individuals means reducing numbers by half. Consequently, decline in number and weakness.
5) Caste no bar (in marriages esp. by girls): why cast no bar in marriages, when caste is a bar (being Brahmin a lot of boys and girls are kept away from opportunity by reservations) in every competitive exam, employment, education. Inter caste marriages is an indirect supporting, help and ratification of hatred and discrimination against Brahmin. It is cancer from inside.
6) Denial of physical labor work and agricultural work: a man or women who is not able to produce his food and blacken his hands for survival is not worthy to live life (a notion taken in mass and not intended for individuals) naturally who do physical type of work tend to be more vigorous and more worthy of living a life of struggle. Among Brahmin, profession demanding physical labor is like a taboo. It must be changed.
7) Exclusivity, void intellectualism, over liberalism, ornamental, artificial, long stretched speaking (forgetting content and substance, poetic approach to problems which Brahmin community is facing): this makes task of welfare and safety of Brahmin community more difficult. So there is high quality software available but no hardware to implement the ideas itself. World quality architects, and no masons and workers available... So involve in even minor events of community, with physical service.
8)Absence of pragmatic approach: an old psyche to deal with today’s problems. Most important

have become cross breeding farms. Where male are picked from non Brahmin caste and female necessarily are Brahmin) 3.Secondly absence of deterrence is another cause i.e. if a Brahmin girl marries to boy of another community, possibility of violent reaction against the couple is very less. Third, the acceptance shown by our community towards such couples is unfortunately giving rise to such marriages. Acceptance is approval in these matters. Violence is not a solution, indoctrination right from childhood. Strong convictions of superiority of our caste and need to maintain and preserve it, Intolerance of such acts; these are the important solutions.
4. Except Brahmin, all communities practiced female foeticide with help of sonography technology. Consequently the number of females (gender ratio) in their community decreased drastically. They are trying to fill the gap by marrying Brahmin girls. Inter caste marriage of Brahmin girls to non Brahmin boys is ratification and help to their inhuman act of female foeticide.
5. Inter caste marriages of Brahmin girls with other caste is an indirect ratification of hatred against Brahmin, a help to non Brahmin in persecution of Brahmin. Like a prize/trophy for antibrahminism a memento of victory.
It is a cancer killing Brahmin community from inside. It is a silent ethnic cleansing.
No animal on earth accepts the crossbreeding.

Definition Hindu Brahmin

A person is said to a brahmin if he is born to a brahmin family but there is more to the “definition” than just this inheritance by birth. Varna classification clearly states that the aforesaid condition is the only possible scenario for being a brahmin but the sacred texts and religious books have some other stories to tell.

A brahmin kid needs to fulfil some standard conditions and rituals and thereafter he is allowed to join in the social status after strict purification procedures. There is a practical process which has been defined generations earlier to be followed. This is called “Jenew” amplifications. Depending on the type of brahmin one belongs a thread is woven to 5, 7, 9 , turns and is wore by the individual through out his life. If the bundled thread breaks one has to immediately put on another one applying simple purification steps.

Hindu Brahmin Laws

After the person attains his social status as a brahmin, he is suppose to follow some strict guidelines throughout his life. Some of them worth mentioning are -

1. Avoidance of Nonveg Food
2. Refrain from Alcohol
3. Practice “Mantras” everyday
4. perform rituals in a timely manner

The duties and responsibilities are what that makes a brahmin more closer to his own self. He should follow the path of a preacher and help any other person in need. He should not be cunning but be wise, he should spread the knowledge of truth rather than using religion for his own profit. He must be willing to sacrifice all material wealth in case He decides to become a priest/ preacher.

How to convert to Hindu Brahmin?

There is no way you can convert yourself to brahmin. As it has already been said that brahmin is not a religion, it is a sect of Hinduism whose creation was meant to preach knowledge and spread the words of “Dharma” and “Karma” all across the globe. Now a days modern Hindu priests can guide through conversion to Hinduism rituals but that of course is not necessarily required. The essence of Hinduism lies not in its surname or the temple it prays to, it lies in the eternal bliss one derives by following the path of enlightenment.

Are brahmins superior than others?

No, not all brahmins are superior than other members of the society, but some definitely are. If you find this statement controversial I would suggest you read it all and then make your judgement. Brahmins as we know, were meant to be priests and preachers but in the modern society one can hardly find a brahmin who follows the tradition. So as a father is to Christianity, Maulvi is to Islam the Hindu society has brahmin as their spiritual mediator. If there is a brahmin who is still following these steps, He sure is superior than the others.

Controversial Definition of Hindu Brahmin

In the globalized world we have seen the decline of Brahmins and increasing mixed Hindu race. Even the authenticity of the age old Vedas are challenged by some mortal fools whose thirst for fame and negative publicity cannot be quenched ever. The best example is the “Brahmin by Karma”. This theory challenges that a man can become brahmin through his karmic influence. If he follows the Brahmin principles and starts living life as defined for brahmins, he will be regarded as brahmin. This theory is supported by almost every non brahmin but among the 4% brahmin population of India, it definition is as impossible as E=mc2 where the equation has been proved theoretically but the practical implementation will never be achieved.

Ever wondered who is the founder of Hinduism? Almost 99 percent of the world religion has a founder or someone who has laid down the principles of the flourished religion. Indian music, has it’s origin in the Vedas, Sama Veda in particular. In fact the arts of music and dance are classified as ‘ Gandharva Veda ‘- the Veda of celestial musicians and singers. Shiva plays ‘Dhamaru’ (drums), Krishna plays 'Venu’ (flute) and Saraswati the goddess of learning plays the ‘Veena’ (stringed instrument). These are the classical Indian musical instruments. Evolution and adoption have added several new types of instruments in all three categories of percussion, wind and string. Western instrument like the Violin has now become as much a part of Indian musical scene as the Veena or Sitar.

Basically there are two systems of classical music, called

Carnatic and Hindustani.

The ‘Carnatic Sampradaya’ encompasses music written in Sanskrit and South Indian languages and has a history dating back to the Vedas.

The origins of Hindustani classical music called the North Indian style (Gharana) can be traced to the courts of the Persian and other Islamic rulers of fourteenth century India.

The seven notes (Sapta Swara) – Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni

are common to both styles of music. Whereas these classical forms of music are for connoisseurs, there are other musical forms, of universal appeal. These are folk music, light classical music (Bhavageet or Sugama sangeet) and film music. In terms of variety, volume, popular appeal, and number of fans, film music is indeed phenomenal..

Historic perspective

Vyasarayaru (A.D 1447-1539) the celebrated Vaishnava guru (Mathadhipati) at Udupi, whose disciples include, the most revered composer Purandara Dasa, is credited with taking Carnatic music to new heights of glory.

The honor of being recognized as the trinity of Carnatic music goes to Saint Thyagaraja (A.D 1759-1847), Shyama Shastri (A.D 1762-1827) and Muthuswamy Dikshitar (A.D 1775-1835). Between them they have composed over a thousand melodies (Krithis).

Architecture, Astronomy, Medicine and Surgery, Metallurgy and Mathematics were in advanced stages of development, right from the Vedic period. Much of the documentation at the famous universities of Nalanda, Takshashila and other places of learning were irrevocably lost during the alien onslaughts. After Indian Independence from Britain in 1947, resurrection is taking place on a massive scale, and contemporary scientists hail from all sections of the Indian Society.

Arya Bhata

Astronomer. Mathematician. Born in Pataliputra on Sunday March 21, 499 (5^th century A.D). He is the author of ‘Aryabhatiya’, a monumental treatise on Astronomy. Aryabhata, explained the causes of solar and lunar eclipses, as understood today. He was the first to state the relationship between the diameter and the circumference of a circle. First Indian Satellite was named after him.

Bhaskara

12^th century Mathematician. Author of ‘Siddhantha Shiromani’. His other book called ‘Leelavati’, on Algebra, was written to teach the subject to his daughter who had the same name. The second Indian Satellite was named after him.

Charaka

Most celebrated authority on medicine, who lived in Vedic times. Author of ‘Charaka Samhita’. A legend has it that he is an incarnation of ‘Adisesha’.

Dhanwantari

Known as physician of the gods, who was born at the churning of the oceans. (Samudra manthana ). Ayurveda is attributed to him. In later literature we read, that Dhanwantari was also the name of the physician in the celebrity group called the Nine gems (Nav Ratnas) in the court of king Vikramaditya. 57 B.C

Sushruta

4^th century surgeon and writer on Medicine. Author of ‘Sushrutha Samhita’.

Vag Bhata

Writer on Medicine. Author of ‘Ashtanga Hridaya Samhita’. Period is unknown.

Varaha Mihira

6^th century Astrologer and Mathematician, born in Ujjain. Is the author of three monumental books on Astrology, Astronomy and Mathematics relating to the first two. ‘Pancha Siddhantika’, one of the elements of which is ‘Surya Siddhanta’, is the authority for casting the Hindu Almanac. Brihat Jataka’ deals extensively on the subject of Horoscopes. ‘Brihat Samhita’, consisting of 4000 sanskrit verses, and deals with weather forecasting, earth quakes, gemology and the relationship between the earth and the solar system and so forth.

Dr Jagadish Chandra Bose
1858 - 1937

Great Biologist, eminent scientist who showed that plants have feelings. His path breaking discoveries brought him the coveted honor of fellow ship of the Royal Society for Science.

Dr S. Chandrasekhar
Physicist. Nobel laureate. (1910-1995)

Won the 1983 Nobel prize in Physics for his ‘ Theoretical studies of the physical processes of importance to the structure and evolution of the stars’.

Dr Chidambara Chandrasekaran
Population Scientist. (1911-1999)

A scientist par excellence who did pioneering work in Demographics. Co-Inventor of the world famous Chandrasekaran - Deming formula for estimation of population growth. A Rockefeller fellow in the early 1940s, was awarded the outstanding international Alumnus award by the John Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. Served the United Nations as early as 1948 and was regional adviser on population policies. Served as population specialist at the International Bank of Reconstruction and Development.

Sir C.V.Raman
Physicist. Nobel laureate (1888-1970).

The first Asian scientist to win the Nobel Prize, in the year 1930, for his work on molecular scattering of light, later called as the Raman effect. This he discovered using laboratory instruments worth approximately US$ 100!

Srinivasa Ramanujam
Mathematician (1887-1920).

Prodigy who had no formal education in mathematics, but could solve the most complex mathematical problems with ease. Unanimously elected to fellowship of the Royal Society in Cambridge, in 1918.
